The basic idea

Your movement becomes the measuring stick.

Time Trek translates enormous timescales, distances and real expeditions into routes you can physically travel. Instead of reading that something happened billions of years ago, you walk the distance between it and everything that came after.

Four simple steps

Choose. Move. Discover. Remember.

The app handles the scale and timing in the background. The experience remains simple enough to begin with a single tap.

1

Choose a Trek

Select a journey through time, space, a place or a real expedition route.

2

Choose the scale

Use the classic route or shorten and lengthen it to suit your time, ability and location.

3

Start moving

GPS records your genuine progress while the app calculates what your distance represents.

4

Unlock discoveries

Stories, audio, imagery, evidence and achievements appear at precisely mapped milestones.

Making scale physical

Distance becomes a universal translator.

The facts do not change when the route changes. The app recalculates the physical spacing between events while preserving their correct chronological or spatial relationship.

Classic Universe Trek

13.8 kilometres

Approximately one metre represents one million years of cosmic history.

Short route

6.9 kilometres

The same events remain in order, compressed into half the physical distance.

Long route

27.6 kilometres

Events spread apart for a longer walk, run or cycle with more space to reflect.

The story adapts

One route does not require one reading level.

The science remains consistent, but the language, depth and emphasis can change for the person taking the Trek.

Three content modes

  • Child mode uses energetic, concrete storytelling for roughly ages six to ten
  • Adult mode explains unfamiliar terms while preserving wonder and accuracy
  • Scientist mode expands dates, terminology, uncertainty, sources and context

Designed for different bodies and places

  • Walk, run or cycle where the Trek supports it
  • Adjust route length without breaking the timeline
  • Pause, resume or continue from a different location
  • Preview a Trek with simulation before moving
  • Use read-aloud support for hands-free discovery
More than a route tracker

Movement, science and motivation reinforce each other.

Time Trek aims to make exercise more compelling while helping difficult ideas become memorable.

Discovery

Milestones create anticipation

The next event is always somewhere ahead, giving the walk a reason to continue.

Credibility

Sources remain visible

Stories can link to scientific sources and explain what is known, inferred or uncertain.

Gamification

Progress becomes meaningful

Achievements, Time Points, titles and completed Treks reward genuine movement and curiosity.
